We started Code Compass because tech recruitment was broken.
Too many recruiters who'd never read a line of code, sending CVs by the dozen and hoping something stuck. We thought engineering teams deserved better.
Our story
Built by people who actually understand the work.
Code Compass was born out of frustration. We spent years working inside recruitment agencies that were slow, badly managed, and more focused on volume than results. This meant watching good engineering talent get wasted in the process. We started Code Compass because we believed the DACH tech market deserved something better: a recruiter that actually understands the work, moves quickly, and treats both sides of the process with respect.
In practice that means four things. We start with a proper brief so no skimming a description and immediately sending poorly suited CVs. We technically screen every candidate ourselves before they reach you. We send a short, honest shortlist of people we'd actually back for the role. Then we stay involved throughout so good hires don't fall away at the last step.
